Dominated in scrum, Rugby Club Toulonnais held the score to Northampton since they were led only 8 - 10 with a try everywhere to the pause.
Northampton scored firstly with fly-half Myler which scored a penalty at the 2nd minute. 20 minutes later, Damien Vidal brings backs both teams to equality with a penalty. But at the 28th, whereas Matt Henjak is excuded on a yellow card, Saints n°8 Easter is projected in the try area. Myler passed the conversion and Saints lead 10 to 3.
Toulon reaction is good by scoring through Mafiléo Kefu at the 32nd. Damien Vidal cannot pass the conversion no more than a penalty (a bit far) and the referee hisses the half-time on the score of 10 to 8 for Northampton Saints.
The 2nd half is in unique sense since the Saints inscribe 6 tries, notably using lack of toulon discipline (Marc Andreu will be evicted ten minutes on yellow card) and with a large scrum domination.
