Toulon draws at Montpellier

Toulon Rugby Club managed to come away with 2 points from their away match against Montpellier at the Yves du Manoir stadium on Friday 16th August - the first encounter of the new Top 14 season.
It was drawn 22 - 22 with a try from each side.
Toulon, who never really managed to impose themselves on the match, finally equalised thanks to an interception by Maxime Mermoz. Up until then following a third minute try from Audrin and a set scrum that was regularly penalised the men in red and black had been struggling, but started to slowly regain the initiative (you can watch the video of the match here).
"I don't know if a draw is all that wonderful, commented scrum half Sebastien Tilous-Borde, speaking to Canal+. In the first half we tried to get our game together but we let in a try through defensive errors. After that we made a lot of mistakes but we were still looking for opportunities, like Maxime's interception try. We’ve a big match against Racing Metro next week, so the signs are promising."
"It's a shame to concede a draw but we'll have to be happy with that, said the Montpellier prop Nicolas Mas. Toulon are a good team who know how to grab every point they can."
