« My wish for 2014 ? To win something ! »

Bernard, what do you think about the defeat against Racing Metro and how do you explain it?
Mentally we were there but against a team as strong as Racing Metro you can't be playing with 14 men for ten minutes. So instead of making it 6-6 with a penalty for us, it was a yellow card and the penalty reversed then a try and suddenly we're at 14-3 and the match has completely changed. There were also our lineout problems in this match. For thirteen out of twenty lineouts we performed badly and that cost us.
What are your thoughts about the forthcoming fixtures?
I can't say that they are not in our favour. We're going to play second, third and fifth placed teams at home and that doesn't mean that we're going to win, but it definitely helps us. No matter who you play against there are no easy games. You only have to look at the Bayonne/Toulouse match. At one point we were first and we wondered why and now we're fourth. It's your position at the end of the season that counts.
Do you have any particular concerns regarding the match against Grenoble on Saturday?
It's important we concentrate on our own game and this was confirmed against Racing because if we hadn't been yellow carded and our lineout had operated more effectively, we would have won the match. Grenoble are a good team and they're having a good season. It is up to us to win the match.
Any particular wishes for RCT in 2014?
I always wish the same thing: to progress as far as possible in every competition and to win a title. At least one. After our experience last season, I'm not convinced that winning the H Cup is any harder than winning the Top 14.
